INVOLVING YOUNG PEOPLE COLLECTIVE
2020 sees the launch of the Esmee Fairbairn Involving Young people work, as part of their desire to better listen and involve young people directly in the foundation's work. Over the next 9 months, HUDL will help guide the process and capture learning.
Over the next 9 months, HUDL will work closely with the Collective to design, test and advice Esmee on ways in which they can involve young people in the future in regards to how they work, what they fund and how they fund.
HUDL will facilitate and support the process through the design and delivery of consultation events, Hackathons, networking opportunities, socials and review meetings.
We are excited to announce that the work is being driven forward by 12 young people from organisations funding by Esmee - Uprising UK, The Advocacy Academy, The Proud Trust, Action for Conservation, Peer power and Integrate UK as part of the Esmee Fairbairn Involving Young People Collective. This is a paid opportunity for young people aged 17 - 25 from across England.
Members of the collective will:
-
Be paid the London Living wage for their time.
-
Gain better insight into who, what and how Esmee funds.
-
Take part in a co-production process.
-
Design and test ideas alongside Esmee staff
-
Receive ongoing support and professional development opportunities
