Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up?

We have a short online application on our webpage for you to complete, and a member of the team will be in touch with you.

What is involved in the recruitment process?

Once you have completed your application, a member of the team will schedule a short telephone conversation with you to get to know you and how you would benefit from the programme. You will then hear if you have been offered a place soon after your telephone interview.

How much time do I have to commit?

The duration of the programme is 4 months, and you will need to commit to two induction days (a full day), three Personal Development Days (one per month, full day) and three Action Learning Sets (weekday evenings)

What will I get out of the programme?

You will benefit from developing your skills in interview techniques; get professional insight on how to succeed at assessment centres; network with leading professionals and learn more about roles in different sectors and build your social network meeting like-minded people. You will also benefit from Action Learning Sets, a method of group coaching that will allow you to explore and overcome challenges in a safe space.

Where will the events be held?

Our induction and Personal Development Days will be hosted by our partner organisations in Central London. Details of dates and location will be sent to you once we confirm your place on the programme.

Who is supporting the programme?

The Career Search & Skills Development programme is a  Damilola Taylor Trust initiative, delivered by HUDL. CSSD 2019 is funded by the  CO-OP.

Will I get a job at the end of the programme?

The programme does not guarantee a job or work experience; You will gain the experience, confidence, networks and skills needed to kick start your career.

I can’t commit to the whole programme but can I come to the development days?

Yes, you will be able to attend the Personal Development Days; you will need to book your place using the link we send you.
